This review is based on so much more than simply the quality of the ladder – but the quality of support I received through the company. Earlier this summer I had just purchased a high-top for my van through Wasatch Overland in Salt Lake City Utah. On their site they had an option for a side ladder that was produced by American Backroad Company, but it was only available for the Ford Econoline. From here I simply reach out to the company, shared my interest, and asked them if they had planned on making one for the Chevy Express vans. Luckily they had been considering it, but was uncertain of a time when it would be complete. I told them I would be happy to wait, and I did just that. After a few months had gone by, I reached back out to see if any progress had been made. I received a similar answer, and was told it would hopefully be in the building phase in a month or so. During this time of waiting, there were many emails sent back and forth, and Nick remained exceedingly helpful throughout the entire process.
When I received an email notifying me that it had been completed, Nick made a way for me to purchase one immediately so I did not have to wait until it became available on their website. I received the ladder in less than a week (I am in Virginia). The ladder arrived and I was very happy with the quality of the design and its light weight. It also came with detailed instructions that specify certain mistakes that could be easily made when installing for the first time. I really appreciated this added care. The installation took me less than 30 minutes, and it has been a valuable upgrade that I am sincerely glad I waited to make.
